Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Power Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have faced escalating attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have led to blackouts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were injured while local people in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and dealt with interruptions to water supplies, according to city officials.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was killed in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has increased attacks on electrical systems over recent weeks, while officials has demanded "substantial measures" from international partners to apply pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the America, European nations and the G7 - in supplying defensive weapons and implementing restrictions," mentioned in a social media post.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 projectiles targeted energy facilities, characterizing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were working to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles damaged electrical systems and residential structures in Kyiv.

Multiple people hurt in the assaults on the capital have been hospitalized, according to local officials.

Regional authorities said the metropolitan region came under significant strikes overnight. A minor was killed and several individuals were injured.

The strikes follow nights of aerial attacks in the region, sections of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to identify.

Government officials told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to demolish the national power system, with assaults already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and government agencies were preparing for more assaults.
